Question 392484: I am so lost. need help please and thank you
(8)/(r-3)+(8)/(r+3)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(8)/(r-3)+(8)/(r+3)
----
Least common denominator: (r-3)(r+3)
----
Rewrite each fraction with the lcm as its denominator:
----
[8(r+3)/lcm] + [8(r-3)/lcm]
----
Add the numerators over the common denominator:
[8r+24+8r-24]/lcm
----
= [16r]/[(r+3)(r-3)]
----
Another Form:
= [16r]/[r^2-9]
