Question 386688: y+5x=-5
Answer by gwendolyn(128) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y+5x=-5 is already in its simplest form, and cannot be solved for because there are two variables and only one equation. It can be put into several different forms, however.
By subtracting 5x from both sides, we isolate y and find y in terms of x.
y+5x=-5
y=-5-5x
We can also find x in terms of y by isolating x.
y+5x=-5
5x=-5-y
