Andrew is having an irrigation system installed in his yard. Company A charges $1250 plus $15 per sprinkler head. Company B charges $1200 plus $17 per sprinkler head. How many sprinkler heads will Andrew need to have to make Company A a better deal?
Answer by richard1234(7193) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let h be the number of sprinkler heads Andrew buys. We have
1250 + 15h < 1200 + 17h
50 < 2h
25 < h
Therefore, Andrew needs to buy 26 sprinkler heads to make company A the better deal.
