9(x+8)+6 = 8(x+8)+4
I believe we are solving for x im not sure where to start, im very confused a, step by step explanation would be greatly appreciated.

multiply through first
9x+72+6=8x+64+4
combine like kinds
9x+78=8x+68
subtract 78 and 8x from both sides
x=-10
