Question 37776: 7b-3=-2b+24
Answer by junior403(76)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lets see...
7b - 3 = -2b + 24
Lets start by arranging the variables on one side of the equation.
So, lets add 2b to both sides...
9b - 3 = 24
Then lets add 3 to both sides...
9b = 27
Then we can divide both sides by 9...
b = 3
If you would like to check your answer, just substitute the 3 for the b in the original equation...
7(3) - 3 = -2(3) + 24
21 - 3 = -6 + 24
18 = 18 Correct!
Hope this helps!
Good luck!
