Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Get fractions in terms of 1/12's
4 2/12 = r + 6 3/12
check answer:
= -2 1/12
4 2/12 = r + 6 3/12
4 2/12 = -2 1/12 + 6 3/12
4 + 2 - 6 = 3/12 - 1/12 - 2/12
0 = 3/12 - 3/12
0 = 0
OK
