Solve for x by getting x by itself.
12x+5=10x+19 Subtract 10x from both sides
-10x -10x
2x+5=19 Subtract 5 from both sides.

Hi,
12x+5=10x+19
Solving for x by performing operations on both sides of the equation to isolate x
12x+5=10x+19
12x -10x +5 = 10x -10x +19
2x +5 = 19
2x +5 -5 = 19 - 5
2x = 14

x = 7
