Question 358843: I am having a hard time on how to start solving this problem. It was one of my extra credit problems on my exam and I can't stop thinking about it!
f(x)= 2x-3 g(x)= x2+1 (the x is squared)
Solve f/g
So I set the equation . . . . .
(2x-3)/(x2+1)
Where do you go from here?
Can you please show me the steps to solve this equation?

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
f(x)= 2x-3
g(x)= x^2+1
Solve f/g (not solve, but find or calculate.)
So I set the equation (2x-3)/(x^2+1)
That's not an equation, there's no equal sign.

Where do you go from here?
Nowhere, that's all that can be done.

Can you please show me the steps to solve this equation?
It's not an equation, so there's nothing to solve. You're done.
