plug the value of y in the equation
9x-8*(3-3x)/2 =-2
9x-4(3-3x)=-2
9x-12+12x=-2
21x=10
x=10/21

plug value of x in any equation above

3x+2y=3
3(10/21)+2y=3
10/7+2y=3
2y=3-10/7
2y=11/7
/2

substitution method
3x+2y=3
9x-8y=-2

2y = 3-3x
-----
Substitute for 2y in the 2nd equation:
9x -4(3-3x) = -2
9x -12+12x = -2
21x = 10
x = 10/21
----
Since 2y = 3-3x
2y = 3-3(10/21)
2y = 3-(10/7) = 11/7
y = 11/14
