The elimimation method
3x-5y=9
5x-3y=-1
-------------
Multiply 1st by 5
Multiply 2nd by 3
----
15x - 25y = 45
15x - 9y = -3
----------------------
Subtract top from bottom and solve for "y":
16y = -48
y = -3
----
Substitute into 3x-5y=9 to solve for "x":
3x - 5*-3 = 9
3x + 15 = 9
3x = -6
x = -2
============
Solution: (-2,-3)
