Translate the following into an equation.
John weighs 20 pounds more than Dave. Their combined weight is 250 pounds.
---------------
Let Dave weight "x" lbs.
Then John weights "x+20" lbs.
----
Equation:
x + x+20 = 250
2x = 230
x = 115 lbs ( Dave's weight)
x+20 = 135 lbs (John's weight)
