Question 351377: Hi, I am having trouble answering this problem -5x-10=2-(x+4) I'm not sure if I'm supposed to multiply the 2 and x then the 2 and 4 using the distributive property. Or if I'm supposed to subtract 2 from x and 4. I tried subtracting and got the answer of 3.5, but then I checked the problem and it was wrong. ( I tried using the distributive property, but subtracting instead of multiplying.) I am very confused can you please help me by going through the steps? Very much appreciated, Kayla.

Add to both sides.
