I need major help!
             (n+1)²-3n
Which sequence follows the rule where n equals
the number's position in the sequence.

Let n = 1 in (n+1)²-3n
             (1+1)²-3(1)
                 2²-3
                  4-3
1, so the first term is 1

Let n = 2 in (n+1)²-3n
             (2+1)²-3(2)
                 3²-6
                  9-6
3, so the second term is 3

Let n = 3 in (n+1)²-3n
             (3+1)²-3(3)
                 4²-9
                 16-9
7, so the third term is 7

Let n = 4 in (n+1)²-3n
             (4+1)²-3(4)
                 5²-12
                 25-12
13, so the fourth term is 13

Let n = 5 in (n+1)²-3n
             (5+1)²-3(5)
                 6²-15
                 36-15
21, so the fifth term is 21

So the sequence is 1, 3, 7, 13, 21, ···

The pattern is:

Write the first odd number, 1
Skip 0 odd numbers and write the next odd number, 3
Skip one odd number 5, and write the next odd number, 7
Skip two odd numbers 9 and 11, and write the next odd number, 13
Skip three odd numbers 15, 17 and 19, and write the next odd number 21.
      ···
