Question 332454: What is the difference between an equation and an expression?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20059) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Equations have = signs, expressions don't. Equations get solved, but expressions are never said to be "solved". It makes no sense to say "solve an expression". Expressions are often simplified but never solved.
