Question 317028: Hi all,
Was hoping someone would help me solve for the co-efficient in the following:
Population of rabbits on an isolated island exponentially increased because of the absence of predators.
N(t) = N0e^kt (The 0 is a lower case zero)
The initial population at t=0 was 10 and at t=1/2 the population reached 100.Determine the co-efficient k. Do not convert answer to decimal points.
Thanks,
-Nick.
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
100 = 10 e^(k/2)
10 = e^(k/2)
ln(10) = k/2
2[ln(10)] = k
