Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simplify [4x+12/3x] * [6x/x^2-9]
----
Factor where you can:
---
[4(x+3)/3x] * [6x/(x-3)(x+3)]
--------
Cancel factors common to a numerator and a denominator
such as 3,x,(x+3):
--------
[4/1] * [2/(x-3)]
----
= 8/(x-3)

Simplify 4x+12/3x * 6x/x^2-9
doing 2 simplify solutions to be sure which one you meant:
simplify 4x + 12/(3x) * 6x/(x^2) - 9
(divided middle term by (3x/3x))
simplify (4x + 12)/3x * 6x/(x^2 - 9)
factor
(divided by (3x/3x))
