Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1/3)y^2 + 12 = 5x; solve for y.
Multiply by 3 to get rid of the fraction, results:
y^2 + 3(12) = 3(5x)
:
y^2 + 36 = 15x
subtract 36 from both sides
y^2 = 15x - 36
Find the square root of both sides
y =
