Question 303830: Solving Systems of Equations:
y=-2x-6
y=3x+29
I have to solve them and then write the answers for both. This is one question, not two. Thanks! I really need the help and would greatly appreciate it! I'm failing math. :(

Answer by scott8148(6628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
substituting ___ -2x - 6 = 3x + 29

adding 2x and subtracting 29 ___ -35 = 5x

dividing by 5 ___ -7 = x

substituting ___ y = 3(-7) + 29 = 8
