Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Area=bh/2
168=b(2b+4)/2
168=(2b^2+4b)/2
2b^2+4b=2*168
2b^2+4b=336
2b^2+4b-336=0
2(b^2+2b-168)=0
2(b+14)(b-12)=0
b-12=0
b=12 ans. for the base.
Proof
168=12(2*12+4)/2
168=12(24+4)/2
168=12*28/2
168=336/2
168=168
