Question 28949: Is y a direct variable of x in the following equation?
2y=5x+1

Yes, y varies directly with x. That means "as x increases,
y also increases". Try it: let x=0; y will be 1/2
Now, if x increases to 5, then y will be 13.
So, as x increased, so did y.
