Answer by JBarnum(2146)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

3 times what =6 , 3(2)=6
and
x^3 times what equals x^4, x^3(x)=x^4
if u cant get the logic above simply put 1=x and solve to get 6=(3)(#) that number is 2. then take x^4 and divide by x^3 = x.
either way works
