Question 284487: how do i solve the equation five t over six plus four which equals one
Answer by nyc_function(2741) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5/t + 4 = 1
Multiply each term by the LCD which is t in this case.
(5/t) times t = 5
4 times t = 4t
1 times t = t
We now have 5 + 4t = t
5 = t - 4t
5 = -3t
5/-3 = t
Done!
NOTE: We can also write 5/-3 as -5/3. They both mean the same thing.
