Question 28361: The length of a rectangular lot is 12 feet longer than its width. The perimeter of the lot is 144 feet. What is the length?
Answer by Paul(988)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Width = x
Length = x+12

Formula:
2(l+w)=P

2(x+x+12)=144
4x+24=144
4x=120
x=30

30+12=42

Hence, the width is 30cm, and the length is 42cm.
