Solve by the elimination method:
5x+6y=17
5x-y=38
-------------------
Subtract the 2nd equation from the 1st to get:
7y = -21
Then, y = -3
-------
Substitute that into 5x-y = 38 and solve for "x":
5x +3 = 38
5x = 35
x = 7
-------
Solution: (7,-3)
