Question 266278: When you look at a quadratic equation, how do you know which method to use to solve it. (square root property, quadratic formula, discriminant, zero property, factoring, completeting the square) Are there clues to look for in the problem itself?
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you recognize that it's a square, that's the easiest
If you see it's factorable, use that.
The quadratic equation always works.
Never waste time on completing the square, unless the problem asks for it.
