ASSUMING THERE ARE ONE OF EACH:
B=CD-2
B+CD=54
(CD-2)+CD=54
CD+CD=54-2
2CD=52
CD=52/2
CD=26 COST OF CD.
B=26-2=24 COST OF BOOK.
IF THERE ARE MULTIPLY CDS & BOOKS YOU NEED TO TELL HOW MANY OF EACH OF THE TOTAL NUMBER.
