Question 258439: I'm having problems solve the following problem. I know how to do these type of problems but bad at fractions. Can you help figure it out by doing an example of the same kind of problem without giving me the direct answer to my problem. So I can figure it out on my own with your notes thanks.
The problem is: 2/3(7/8-4x)-5/8=3/8

Answer by rfer(16322)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/3(7/8-4x)-5/8=3/8
14/24-8/3x-5/8=3/8
14/24-8/3x=3/8+5/8
-8/3x=1-14/24
-8/3x=6/24
-3/8*8/3x=6/24*-8/3
x=-48/72
x=-2/3
