here is the problem:

step 1 - distribute on teh left and right side to get
(ii)
step 2 - combine like terms on the left and the right to get
(iii)

2(a-8)+7=5(a+2)-3a-19
2a-16+7 = 5a+10-3a-19
2a-9 = 2a-9
