Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
c+3c>2+14

factor out the c to get:

c * (1+3) > 2 + 14

simplify by performing indicated operations.

c * 4 > 16

divide both sides by 4 to get:

c > 4

your answser is c > 4.

substitute in original equation to confirm.

original equation is:

c+3c>2+14

when c = 3, equation becmes 3 + 9 > 16 which is NOT true.
when c = 4, equation becomes 4 + 12 > 16 which is NOT true.
when c = 5, equation becomes 5 + 15 > 16 which IS true.

answer looks good because original equation IS true when c > 4.
