Question 24978: how do you aad 2x+3y+7x+8y?
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You add "like" terms. It's like apples and oranges.
You can only add "x"'s to "x"'s and y's to y's.
So you get 2x+7x and 3y+8y
So you get 9x + 11y as an answer.
