Hello,
Let's first get rid of the fraction by multiplying everything by x.
x^2+8=-9x Now add both sides by 9x which will give us:
x^2+9x+8=0 Now we can factor.
(x+8)(x+1)
x=-1
x=-8
Plug these into the original problem and we should be good.
