Question 242042: Please show me how to set it up Digicon prints digital phots for $.12 each plus $3.29 shipping and handling. Your weekly budget for the school year book is $22.00. How many prints can you have made if you have $22.00. I came up with 155 but I know I didn't set it up properly.
Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you have $22.00

subtract the shipping to get:

$22.00 - $3.29 = $18.71

divide $18.71 by .12 to get:

$18.71/.12 = 155.9166667

looks like you did it right.

you buy 155 prints.

it costs you 155 * .12 = $18.60

you add $3.29 for shipping and you get:

$18.60 + $3.29 = $21.89

You have $.11 left.

only thing you have to watch out for is how many prints are covered in the shipping and handling.

there might be a limit.

sometimes a weight limit.

sometime a count limit.

if not, then you have the right numbers.
