a. multiply the x outside the parenthesis by each term inside the parenthesis
b. isolate the x on one side of the equation to find its value.

25x%2Bx%5E2
Now let's deduct 25x from the left side and right side of eqn
x%5E2=-25x
Now divide by x on both sides
x%5E2%2Fx=-25
One of the x from the numerator cancels out the x in the denominator.
x=-25 ... this is your solution. :)
