Rewrite the 1st fraction as follows:
b(b-1) = b(b+1)/LCD
The 2nd fraction already as the LCD as its denominator.
You now have:
[b^2+b]/LCD + [2b]/LCD
Add the numerators to get:
[b^2+3b]/LCD
This cannot be further simplified.
