so far i have:
b(b+1)/(b-1)(b+1) + 2b/(b-1)(b+1)
do you know the answer?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The least common denominator (LCD) for these two fractions
is b^2-1 or (b+1)(b-1)
Rewrite the 1st fraction as follows:
b(b-1) = b(b+1)/LCD
The 2nd fraction already as the LCD as its denominator.
You now have:
[b^2+b]/LCD + [2b]/LCD
Add the numerators to get:
[b^2+3b]/LCD
This cannot be further simplified.
