Hello,
(x/2+6)-1/6=15
The first action you want to take when you see fractions in an equations is get rid of them. In this particular equation you'd multiply everything by 6 to give you:
6(x/2+6)-6(1/6)=6(15) this works out to:
3x+36-1=90 combine like terms and get x alone will give you:
x=55/3 or 18 1/3
Plug the answer into the original equation and it should come out good for you.
