Gray trained 32 more dogs than john. Together they trained 126 dogs. how many dogs did gray train.
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let G = number of dogs gray trained.
let J = number of dogs john trained.
G + J = 126
G = J + 32
Replace G with J + 32 in the first equation to get:
J + 32 + J = 126
Combine J to get:
2J + 32 = 126
Subtract 32 from both sides to get:
2J = 126 - 32 = 94
Divide both sides by 2 to get
J = 47
G = J + 32 = 47 + 32 = 79
J + G = 47 + 79 = 126
Your answer is:
Gray trained 79 and John trained 47
