Question 23113: 4x-(9-3x)= 8x-1
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x-(9-3x)= 8x-1
4x - 9 + 3x = 8x - 1
7x - 9 = 8x-1
Subtract 7x from each side:
7x-7x -9 = 8x -7x -1
-9=x -1
-9 +1 = x-1 +1
-8 = x
Check:
4x-(9-3x)= 8x-1
4(-8) -(9-3*(-8))= 8(-8) -1
-32 - (9+24) = -64 -1
-32 - 33 = -65
It checks!!
