Question 21983: how do you solve this problem with the following directions

y=17x-4
y=-5x-9
Answer by elima(1433) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find the y-intercept, let x=0, to find the x-intercept let y =0.
y=8x-1
y=8(0)-1
y=-1
y=8x-1
(0)=8x-1
1=8x
1/8=x
So the y-intercept is -1
and the x-intercept is 1/8
Try and do the rest yourself, if you have problems, let me know.
