divide both sides by -4
-4/-4*5x=-2/-4
5x=-1/2
divide by 5
5x/5=(-1/2)/(5/1)
x=-1/10
---------------------
remember no division with fractions, invert second fraction and multiply
(-1/2)/(5/1)=(-1/2)(1/5)=-1/10
