Question 215592: Solve 5n+8-9n=10-4n+8. Tell whether the equation has infinitely many solutions or no solution.
a. Only one solution
b. No solution
c. Two solutions
d. Infinitely many solutions
My work: 5n-9n+8=18-4n -4n+8=18-4n -4n+4n=18-8 0 n=10
I think the answer is b. because 0 n equals zero and zero cannot equal any other value, therefore n could not have a value.
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5n+8-9n=10-4n+8
-4n + 8 = -4n + 18
8 = 18
It does not, so there's no solution.
