Add simplify by removing a factor of 1 if possible.
4 w+5 3
---- + ----- + -----
w+2 w^2-4 w-2
Thank you so much!!!!

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
simplify by removing a factor of 1 if possible.
4 w+5 3
---- + ----- + -----
w+2 w^2-4 w-2

----------------------------------
The lcd is (x-2)(x+2)
-----------------------------
Rewrite each fraction with the lcd as its denominator:
---
[4(w-2)]/lcd + (w+5)/lcd + [3(w+2)]/lcd
-------------------------------------------------
Combine the numerators over the lcd
=============================================
[4w-8 + w+5 + 3w+6]/lcd
---
Simplify:
[8w+3]/[w^2-4]
=========================
Cheers,
