Answer by Earlsdon(6294)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x be the number of years hence: In x years' time, Dad's age (37) + x = Twice Pamela's age (2(14+x)). Let's write the equation to solve for x.
Simplify and solve for x.
Subtract x from both sides of the equation.
Subtract 28 from both sides.

In 9 years,Pamela's dad will be twice Pamela's age then.
Check:
37 + 9 = 2(14 + 9)
46 = 2(23)
46 = 46
