The first answer is correct.
3x+4 = x Subtract x from both sides of the equation.
2x+4 = 0 Subtract 4 from both sides.
2x = -4 Divide both sides by 2.
x = -2
4t + 6t = 8t-13 Add up the t's on the left side.
10t = 8t-13 Subtract 8t from both sides of the equation.
2t = -13 Divide both sides by 2.
t = -6.5
