Answer by nerdybill(7384) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Slope, given two point is:
(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
.
For:
(-3,7), and (5,-5)
We plug it in to:
(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
= (-5 - 7)/(5 - (-3))
= (-12)/(5+3)
= (-12)/8
= -3/2 (this is your slope)
