Write an expression for the following (use x for the unknown number): 2 more than 3 times an unknown number is equal to one half of the difference between the unknown number and ten.
3 times an unknown no = 3x
2 more than that = 3x + 2
equals
difference between x - 10
one half of that (x-10)/2
therefore
3x + 2 = (x-10)/2
