Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(-5,-3) and (7,-11)
slope=(y2-y1)/x2-x1)=(-11+3)/(7+5)=-8/12=-2/3 ans. for the slope.
Y=mX+b
-3=-2/3*-5+b
-3=10/3+b
b=-3-10/3
b=(-3*3-10)/3
b=(-9-10)/3
b=-19/3 y intercept.
y=-2x/3-19/3 ans. for the line equation
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, -2x/3 -19/3).
