first, try looking at fractions as just another way to write a division problem. so that means that the problem is:
next, to get rid of the fraction, multiply everything by the denominator (the bottom of the fraction) because multiplication is the inverse operation of division:

anyway, if you have trouble dealing with fractions, work on learning the rules to convert them out of fraction form.
