2/7n plus n equals 5/9

Answer by feliz1965(151)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2/7n plus n equals 5/9
Solve for n.
We first find the LCD.
The LCD is 63n.
We now multiply each terms by the LCD. This will do away with the fractions.
2/7n times 63n = 18
n times 63n = 63n^2
5/9 times 63n = 35n
We now have the following quadratic equation.
18 + 63n^2 = 35n
We rearrange the quadratic equation and get:
63n^2 - 35n + 18 = 0
Can you take it from here?
