Find the number of gallon purchased each time:
1st time: = 12.505 gal
2nd time: = 12.005 gal
3rd time: = 11.543 gal

total number of gallons: 36.053

To find the average price, divide the total cost (3*3000). by the total gallons:
= 249.6 cents is the av cost per gallon
