(x+1)(x-2)=5
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x+1)(x-2)=5
x^2-x-2=5
x^2-x-2-5=0
x^2-x-7=0
x = (-b +- sqrt( b^2-4*a*c ))/(2*a) }
x=(x+-sqrt[-1^2-4*1*-7])/2*1
x=(1+-sqrt1+28)/2
x=(1+-sqrt29)/2
x=(1+-5.38)/2
x=(1+5.38)/2
x=6.38/2
x=3.19 ans.
x=(1-5.38)/2
x=-4.38/2
x=-2.19 ans
